Hi, I'm Margaux Stone

Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was constantly in front of my mom's camera. She's a therapeutic photographer and life coach, so I spent years experiencing firsthand how photography can tell a story and capture moments that really matter. Somewhere along the way, I picked up a camera myself, and I completely fell in love with it.

Today, I specialize in photographing teens and senior portraits because I know what it's like to be on both sides of the camera. I love creating photos that feel natural, reflect your personality, and are actually the kinds of images you'll be excited to post.

When I'm not photographing clients, you'll usually find me chasing sunsets, scouting new locations, hanging out with friends, or listening to music. I'm also the Head Photography Editor & Studio Manager for my high school yearbook, a paid freelance photographer for The Orinda News, and the founder of my school's Photography Club. I was recently recognized by PeekWire as one of 5 East Bay senior photographers who "actually get teen style."

One of the projects I’m most proud of is Moments That Matter, a photography and storytelling program I created and brought to Byron Park, a senior living community in Walnut Creek. What started as one event has grown into a paid monthly program. I love seeing how personal photographs can help people who live side by side connect more deeply and feel a greater sense of belonging in their community.

For me, photography is about more than taking beautiful pictures. It's about creating images that feel like you and capturing moments you'll want to look back on for years to come. I can't wait to help tell your story.
